Thank
you for your interest and/or purchase of Coral Minerals
We
include a pack of 15, 2 inch pH strips for testing your saliva pH and 1 color
chart.
Each
strip will make 3 tests. Simply tear off 1/3 of a strip each time that you
test.
To determine what amount of minerals
is best for you, initially do 3 pH tests, one test each morning for 3 days in a
row. It’s a good idea to write down the
results that best displays the color/number of your test on a note pad. The pH numbers on the chart range 5.5-8.0
with color shades of yellow, green and blue.
After you test 3 days in a row, choose the closest average number
and corresponding color and follow the guide below to select the appropriate
amount of minerals to consume daily.
How do I test my pH?
First thing when you wake (before drinking, eating, brushing teeth), work up saliva
in your mouth two times and swallow each time.
The third time keep a “little” saliva on your tongue, tear off 1/3 of
one pH strip and put the piece of pH strip on your tongue for 15 seconds. Remove quickly and set down on a clean, dry
surface. Do not hold the pH strip in
your fingers as this will change the reading. The color of the strip will be a “shade”
of grey. white, yellow, green, blue, or black. The ideal color would be blue
(7.0-7.5) if you are neutral and healthy. Colors of yellow or
green (range 5.5-6.8) would indicate an acidic condition and unhealthy. Colors grey and white (3.0-4.5) are very
acidic, very unhealthy. Color black indicates extreme acidosis (see
below info). When your test is done and
the strip dries, it will return to the original gold color that you started
with.
How often do I check my pH? After your initial 3 days of testing, it has
been suggested to check your pH once per week. It is a good idea to keep your results written down so you may
track the changes.
Our body fluids move continuously and
change continuously so do not be discouraged if you see the number or color
drop. The pH will often drop
temporarily while your body is exiting toxic chemicals, fungus, heavy metals,
etc. Naturally, we want the pH to move
up from white or yellow to green and finally to blue. When pH doesn’t change and it remains green or blue for a period
of time, you are becoming pH balanced and you should notice significant changes
in your health for the better.
What amount is recommended? (1/2 tsp equals 2 grams or 2,000 mg)
Naturopathic doctors usually recommend
(1 to 2 grams) per day as a maintenance supply for a healthy adult. Double the
dosage (4 grams) per day to reverse a specific condition or for such as raising
pH or building bone density. Triple the dosage (6 grams) per day to address severe
health challenges.
If your pH color is true blue
(not almost black) you
are probably healthy. Congratulations!
It is suggested to take 1/4-1/ 2 tsp 1
time per day for health maintenance at bedtime (when your body does most of it’s
repairing). If you test blue but have reason to believe you are not healthy,
you may take 1/2 tsp at bedtime until
you get the desired result then drop to 1/4 tsp. Taking more minerals cannot be of harm. You cannot overdose on
natural whole food minerals, but you can on synthetic store purchased
supplements.
If your pH color is green
you may developing a disease and would need to raise pH to
blue 7.0-7.5.
It is suggested to take a 1/2 tsp 2
times per day: morning, and for sure at bedtime (when your body does most of it’s
repairing).
If your pH color is white or
yellow (4.5-5.5) you may have a disease
and would need to raise pH to green 6.0-6.5
then to blue 7.0-7.5 for healthy.
It is suggested to take a 1/2 tsp 3 times per day: morning, mid-day, and
for sure at bedtime (when your body does most of it’s repairing).
If your pH color is black or
grey you may have
extreme acidosis, or may be severely diseased and too alkaline with a reading
of 7.8-14.0. You will not know the unit
number since the chart only goes to 8. If your color is black you may be at a
unit of 8.0-14.0, topping the scale at 14, but when your pH raises it brings
you back to neutral. You will see the colors go from black to dark grey to
white to yellow to green to blue, and that is desired. When this extreme
condition is present, your kidneys produce ammonia to help raise your pH to
neutral. A person with the pH color
reading grey or black would need to raise their pH color from 7.8-14.0 to white
4.0-4.5 to yellow 5.0-5.5 to green 6.0-6.5 then to blue 7.0-7.5 for healthy. It
is suggested to take a 1/2 tsp 3 times per day: morning, mid-day, and for sure
at bedtime (when your body does most of it’s repairing).
How do I take the minerals? There are 2
ways. 1. Mix your MEASURED
amount in a little water in a paper, plastic, or glass cup, stir
and drink (without gulping which causes acid). Add a little more water,
stir and drink to be sure to get all of the minerals that settle at the bottom.
2. Measure your desired amount with a dry accurate measuring spoon and
simply put the minerals directly on the top of your tongue. The fine powder will dissolve with the help
of your own saliva and follow with a cup of water.
It is best not to take with
juice, bran, vegetables, saturated fats, alcohol, or
aluminum from antacids. The oxalic acid in citrus inhibits the absorption and
are binding to minerals and the same goes for uronic and phytic acid found in
bran, whole cereals and vegetables.
Do I adjust the amount when my
pH color/unit number changes? After
you see a change in pH color, it is recommended to continue with your current
dosage for 30-40 days before reducing the amount. You worked so hard to get there, let’s make sure you stay there.
When you regularly test a green color, (moving up from yellow, not falling down
from blue), test each week for a period of 30-40 days. If the green color is staying, it is now
safe to reduce to the green 6.0-6.5 dosage. When you regularly test blue,
(moving up from green), test each week for a period of 30-40 days before reducing
the amount. If the blue color is
staying for each weekly test, it is now safe to reduce to the blue 7.0-7.5
dosage. When you test a blue color, and have been blue for ANOTHER 30-40 days,
it is now safe to reduce to the blue and healthy maintenance dosage of 1/4 tsp
at bedtime.
pH Info:
Your pH has to be in the right balance to be healthy! Acidity and alkalinity in your body is
determined by the pH (potential hydrogen) scale. It is best for health to be neutral
(neither acidic or alkaline). The ideal pH according to many doctors is
7.4-7.5. Your body is acid if below 7.0
and alkaline if above 7.8. The pH scale
measures the concentration of H+ (hydrogen ions, acid) and OH- (hydroxide ions,
alkaline). The pH of a solution is a negative hydrogen ion concentration. The
pH scale puts a number to it ranging from 0-14. The pH scale is the easiest way
to express pH changes. The internal pH of most living cells is close to 7, the
same as pure water. Most biological fluids
are between 6.0-8.0. When there is even
a slight change in pH, it can be extremely harmful because the chemical
processes of the cell are sensitive to the concentration of hydrogen and
hydroxide ions. Biological fluids
resist change to their pH because of the presence of buffers. Buffers in human blood keep blood pH
close to 7.4. A person cannot
survive if the pH of their blood drops to 7 or rises to 7.8. Acid adds hydrogen ions to a solution and removes
alkaline hydroxide ions because of the tendency of H+ to combine with OH-
to form water. It has the opposite
effect with increasing alkaline OH- concentration thus reducing acid H+
concentration by forming water. The pH scale is compact in a range of only 0-14
units. Each pH unit (5.0-5.5),
(6.0-6.5), etc. represents a tenfold difference in the H+ and OH-
concentration. For example, a solution of pH 2 is not twice as acidic as a
solution of pH 4, but actually 1,000 times more acidic. When the pH of a
solution changes a little, the concentrations of H+ and OH- changes in big way.
The pH chart included is a range of 5.5-8.0 so there are less color
shades/units to read than 0-14 charts. The more
alkaline you are, the more oxygen your body fluids have. Many doctors have
stated the a person does not effectively absorb nutrition until their pH is 6.4
or higher on average, so ultimately we should get our pH up to this level
quickly for best health results.
Coral Minerals help make your body
more alkaline because they are pH balanced and they may effectively remove acid
and bring you to neutral and healthy!
Vitamin D3 needs to be present
to assimilate minerals. Vitamin D3 is
from natural fish liver oil which is similar to the Vitamin D you get from the
sun and it is needed to assimilate calcium minerals. If
you do not get at least 15 minutes per day of sun outside (without glasses or
contacts), or do not make up for it with hours of sun on the weekend, you may
want to investigate at a health/drug store for a good quality hemp seed
oil. Taking 2 TBSP of hemp seed oil per
day may suffice (Vitamin A is naturally present in hemp seed). Take 2 per
day
but not bedtime.
Many people have varying results
increasing or decreasing their daily amount of minerals. The above suggestions are from my own
personal experience and from reading recommendations from naturopathic doctors.
